Toprak Razgatlioglu: Nicolo Bulega's MotoGP Potential with Ducati (2026)

Toprak Razgatlioglu, a prominent figure in the world of motorcycle racing, has thrown his weight behind Nicolo Bulega's potential move to MotoGP. In a recent interview at Mugello, Razgatlioglu expressed his belief that Bulega, his former rival in the WorldSBK championship, deserves a place in MotoGP and can achieve remarkable success, especially with a Ducati ride.

Bulega, who made his MotoGP debut as Marc Marquez's replacement at the end of the previous season, has been a dominant force in WorldSBK, remaining unbeaten after the opening 15 races. However, his future seems to be closely tied to Ducati, as he has participated in testing for the new 850cc/Pirelli era and is expected to join the VR46 team next season.

Razgatlioglu's support for Bulega is rooted in his admiration for the Italian's speed and riding style, which he believes aligns with the demands of MotoGP. The Turkish racer, who moved to MotoGP with Pramac Yamaha for the 2026 season, sees Bulega as a worthy addition to the premier class, especially given his strong performance in Superbike.

"I think Bulega deserves to be in MotoGP because he's a really fast rider," Razgatlioglu stated. "Also, he's riding the Ducati, so it's a good opportunity if Ducati brings him to MotoGP. He's still young, 26 years old, and his riding style is like MotoGP. If Ducati brings him here, I think he can achieve very special results, especially with the Ducati."

Razgatlioglu's enthusiasm for Bulega's potential is further fueled by his own history with Ducati. He acknowledges that Bulega's association with Ducati could be a significant factor in his success, as he has grown up with the Italian manufacturer.

In addition to his praise for Bulega, Razgatlioglu also expressed his admiration for another former WorldSBK rival, Andrea Iannone. Iannone made a race-winning debut in the Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup, and Razgatlioglu praised his speed and cleverness, even calling him a bit "crazy."

As an industry veteran with two decades of experience in the paddock, Razgatlioglu has witnessed the rise and fall of Valentino Rossi and has been at the center of significant stories, including the Suzuki exit and Marc Marquez's injury issues. His insights and opinions carry weight in the motorcycle racing community, making his support for Bulega a significant development in the sport.
