This contradicts his earlier attempts to ban TikTok, citing national security concerns. His posts ranged from promoting his wife Melania's Amazon documentary to reposting content from Fox News and Joe Rogan's podcast. He also shared negative posts about political rivals, including Gavin Newsom, Ilhan Omar, and Tim Walz.
The president's feed was filled with doubled-up posts about the 2020 election being stolen, clips from UFC boss Dana White, and claims of economic success, despite polls indicating otherwise. He also shared content from a fan account dedicated to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, with a typo in one post. The Daily Beast contacted the White House for comment.
This Truth Social frenzy follows an earlier social media outburst in Europe, where Trump spent over an hour attacking critics and sharing gushing posts after being snubbed by world leaders during his 'Board of Peace' signing ceremony. He fired off 51 posts in a three-hour period, including conspiracy theories about the 2020 election fraud and questionable claims about ICE's use of force against Minnesota protesters.
