Summer Fall 2026: Who's Watching the Watch Parties?
"We didn't initially plan for a grand spectacle, but here we are, hosting our most significant event yet," Zomer's Danial Aitouganov remarked.
This statement rings true, especially considering the remarkable turnout for the inaugural Watch Party. The Théâtre du Châtelet, seating over 2,000, was brimming with fashion enthusiasts and industry guests, all captivated by the unique experience. The highlight? A kiss cam-style display on the giant stage screen, eliciting excited laughter from the crowd.
This innovative approach aligns with Aitouganov and co-founder Imruh Asha's commitment to accessibility, but it's just the backdrop for Zomer's exceptional collection.
The design duo initiated the season's creation by requesting their team to incorporate their favorite "Zomified" pieces.
The resulting collection showcased a diverse array of styles: asymmetric A-line skirts inspired by kilts, smart shirts with intricately layered collars and sleeves, dresses featuring silky floral print godets for a playful twist, and Crombie coats with contrasting silky sack backs or integrated blankets for a cozy yet stylish look.
Additionally, the collection offered more straightforward options like sharp-shouldered, sleek coats with oversized leather collars and jersey dresses with striking structural details, transforming fluid materials into flattering, form-fitting garments. These pieces, while perhaps not as socially media-friendly as last season's hair grip top, are destined to endure.
"We don't need to create something viral-oriented every season," Aitouganov stated. "A more realistic approach is acceptable." Zomer's lineup proved that reality can be both captivating and stylish, offering a blend of legibility and intriguing details.
